From Siena we made our way towards Rome via Montepulciano. Montepulciano is a small Tuscan town contained with fortified walls and the old stone buildings have been retrofitted with modern interiors. It was very touristy with a number of restaurants that appeared to open when tour buses arrived.
A pretty sweet campsite in Rome just off the ring road which meant we didnt have to try driving through the inner city chaos. The weather must be getting warmer as it took about 15mins with the mallet stone I had found in Siena to knock the pins into the hard ground.
We spent two full days exploring the many sights of Rome and were surprised how easy it was to walk between them.
